Black Walnut Tree, Hylands Park

This original artwork was painted en plein air in Hylands Park, Chelmsford. The random, almost whimsical pattern of bare branches against whiteness of Hylands House attracted my attention. It is a big, old black walnut tree, well known to visitors. The bright daffodils under the branches tell us it is Spring.
